Santomo Resources Corporation (Head office: Tokyo; President: Tomoichi Yamaguchi; hereinafter “Santomo”) participated in the 7th Biomass & BioEnergy Asia, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from Tuesday, November 28 to Thursday, November 30, 2023.

At the 7th Biomass & BioEnergy Asia, speakers and participants involved in the biomass industry gathered from around the world, including Southeast Asian countries and India, which have significant biomass potential, as well as biomass-demanding countries such as Japan, South Korea, and Europe.

At this event, Santomo’s Manager, Rumi Hoshino, delivered a presentation on Indonesia’s biomass potential and the development status of new fuels, including the utilization of agricultural residues. Additionally, discussions were held with participants on building a cooperative supply framework within Asia to meet the growing global demand for biomass.

Santomo handles a wide range of biomass products, including the export of palm kernel shells (PKS) to Japan, domestic supply, and the development of pellets from unused agricultural residues such as rice husks, as well as other untapped palm residues like OPT pellets and EFB as fuel sources.

Santomo will continue its business development efforts to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized global society.
